LCM 2022 Graduating Senior – Natalie Gates

My name is Natalie Gates and I have been part of Lutheran Campus Ministry for the past four years. I am originally from Helena Montana and was drawn to Bozeman for the mountains and family. I am graduating this spring in Elementary Education with a reading focus and plan to attend Speech Pathology graduate school in the near future! I have spent these past few summers at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp as a camp counselor as well as a teacher in southwest Kenya this last summer. These experiences have allowed me to appreciate education in diverse environments and have been a leading factor in my desire to teach abroad come fall. I am so thankful for the individuals that have formed a foundation and community for my faith to grow within my college experience and for that I will always have an appreciation and admiration for all that LCM is and provides!

LCM 2022 Graduating Senior – Maddy Gromer

My name is Maddy Gromer and I am a senior from Rapid City, SD. I am so excited to be graduating with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience with Honors and two minors in Global Health and Psychology. I am involved in a few different things around MSU’s campus like being the AdvoCat tour guide co-coordinator, a member of Health Equity Circle, a volunteer at Bozeman Health, a survivors advocate at MSU’s VOICE Center, a Smarty Cats tutor, as well as a Health Professions Advising Peer Mentor. However, my favorite role is being the president of LCM, a position I know I will miss greatly! In my free time (which is honestly pretty limited with my crazy schedule) I love to go hiking, camping and paddleboarding as well as bake, watch movies, and read. I absolutely love spending time with friends and family and am so lucky that my time in Bozeman has brought me so many great ones. After graduation, I will be getting lots of traveling in before I start medical school at the University of South Dakota this July. To add to the excitement of 2022, I will also be getting married to my wonderful fiancé, Ryan, on September 3rd back in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Graduating from MSU sure is bittersweet but I am so beyond thankful for the last four years and cannot wait for the exciting future ahead!
